The global warming crowd reply that this is just the pattern of temperatures you would expect from runaway greenhouse gas warming. Just look at that hockey stick pattern where temperatures on the right are roaring up to unsustainable highs that will simply melt the streets and drive everybody running into the street shouting "I've had enough! I can't take this anymore!"

Spencer and why does he think he knows more than the doofus down at the Sierra Club about these satellite temperature measures? Oh, wait a second, he's that Roy W. Spencer who is "Science Team Leader for the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer (AMSR-E) on NASA’s Aqua satellite". Wait a second. He might know something. Maybe not as much as the Sierra Club doofus, but he may know something. On second thought, he doesn't dress as spiffily as the Sierra Club dude and he sure isn't groomed as nicely, and he isn't wearing th $5,000 leisure suit. He's just a scientist. Why believe him when you can go with the Sierra Club doofus?
