US Tax Phobia

Here is an excellent cartoon poking fun at the irrational phobia Americans have to taxes...



I'm amazed that even in the midst of the current crisis there are people demanding "tax cuts" to fix the problems. You would think the current crisis in Europe would convince people that "acting Greek", i.e. wanting the social benefits of government spending but evading taxes (Greeks) or demanding tax cuts (Americans), is obviously not the way forward. I'm waiting for that message to sink in on the Greeks, and the Americans.
