Local Girl Makes Good

Here's a woman that I enjoy, Irshad Manji. I've read her book "The Trouble with Islam Today: A Muslim's Call for Reform in Her Faith" and thoroughly enjoyed it. She has a distinctive personality.


She reminds me of Ayaan Hirsi Ali, another strong-will, independent-minded woman on an intellectual crusade.

Oh yeah, she is a "local girl". She comes from my neck of the woods, Vancouver. It is always good to see one of the locals making a splash on the world's stage.
