Obama Stubbornly Supports Failed Regimes

There is a report in the NY Times that Obama is busy negotiating a "turnover" of power from the corrupt thug Mubarak to this corrupt thug Suleiman, the "Intelligence Chief" (which to me means simply the "head torturer" and main flunky for Mubarak):
White House, Egypt Discuss Plan for Mubarak’s Exit

The Obama administration is discussing with Egyptian officials a proposal for President Hosni Mubarak to resign immediately and turn over power to a transitional government headed by Vice President Omar Suleiman with the support of the Egyptian military, administration officials and Arab diplomats said Thursday.

Even though Mr. Mubarak has balked, so far, at leaving now, officials from both governments are continuing talks about a plan in which Mr. Suleiman, backed by Lt. Gen. Sami Enan, chief of the Egyptian armed forces, and Field Marshal Mohamed Tantawi, the defense minister, would immediately begin a process of constitutional reform.
I'm sure the Egyptian people are going to be happy to hear that Obama has laboured mightily and given birth to a mouse: he is graciously willing to hand the Egyptian people from one butcherer to another butcherer. Ah... but not just any butcherer. Suleiman is a "reliable" person who will ensure that "American interests" will come before any silly Egyptian interests.

Instead of working with ElBaradei, Obama insists on working with thugs and torturers in order to deliver what he calls "freedom" to the Egyptian people!

Here is a disturbing video of a "diplomatic" car running over demonstrators in Cairo:

Apparently the above videos are of an incident where a US diplomatic vehicle was driven into the protesters. Here is a bit from Al Jazeera:
11:09pm The US Embassy in Cairo sent this statement to Al Jazeera. The video in question is at the bottom of this page - see 2:49am:
We have seen a video that alleges a US embassy vehicle was involved in a hit and run incident that injured dozens in Cairo. We are certain that no embassy employees or diplomats were involved in this incident. On January 28, however, a number of our US Embassy vehicles were stolen. Since these vehicles were stolen, we have heard reports of their use in violent and criminal acts. If true, we deplore these acts and the perpetrators.
I can believe the above. I think the most likely story is that Mubarak had his thugs steal the vehicle and purposefully run it into crowds to make them angry with the US. It just show the criminal mind of the Egyptian "leader" that the US has backed and Obama has backed. Rather than back democracy, the US finds it easier to back thugs.

Not only have I given up on Obama... I hope that some day the International Criminal Court will take him, George Bush, the officials of Bush's administration, and Henry Kissinger and hold hearings on "crimes against humanity" for their "power politics" and how they have led to the slaughter of hundreds of thousands in their mad pursuit of "policy" and "power" and their indifference to the rights of people, of freedom, of dignity.
