The Economic Crisis Grinds On

Late last year it was possible to think that the crisis was over and the slow grind of recovery was well underway. But the news lately undermines that hope. The debt crisis in Europe is shaking financial markets around the world. And the following graphic shows that bank failures are worse this year than in either 2008 or 2009:
