When I was a kid I looked forward to Life magazine being delivered because it was full of pictures that gave me a wonderful window on the world.
The Internet is so much better. And one of my favourite "windows" is the photo blog The Big Picture: News Stories in Photographs by Alan Taylor that appeara on the Boston Globe newspaper's web site. It beats Life magazine ten times over.
