Here's the proof, as measured by satellite:
This is from the Watts Up With That? website.
Go look at the above link. A look at the weather data collection in Tucson will give you a hint why surface stations are reporting "global warming".
And, Anthony Watts will show you the "magic" done on the data to create ever greater "warming" (see the graph at the bottom of the post).
Note: I'm not "against" concerns about greenhouse gases. They are potentially a problem, but it isn't clear to me how much of a problem. I'm concerned over modelling. I'm concerned that global warming scientists are badly incentivized to report bad news and not good news to increase their funding. I'm convinced that technological change will move us away from fossil fuels but government mandates will hurry the process in an awkward and costly way.
I'm for spending on new science and new technology. I'm for more discussion, especially one that focuses on costs and benefits and realistic assessments of how to get global consensus.
So... I'm against being force-marched into expensive policies before public discussion has made clear what the alternatives are, what the costs are, and what science/technology can deliver and on what timeline. I believe there are some intelligent choices to be made, but as an avid democrat, I want people to make the choice, not special interest groups.
