Here's George Carlin making a statement that I sign up for 100%. He does a beautiful job of putting doomsayers and new Puritan do-gooders in their place:
I plan to check out in another 20 years (if I'm lucky, sooner if I'm not so lucky). I find this Carlin routine funny. Even though I'm one of the ones who will soon be "gone... whosh!". Yep, the planet will be here a long, long time after I'm gone.
I don't go as far as "believing" in The Big Electron, but I like the rest of this routine.
