Having just posted a bit by Sean Carroll on theology, it is appropriate to also give him the floor to talk about cosmology:

I find it interesting that in the first video clip Carroll and Trodden agree that theories of "modified gravity" are losing interest as an alternative to dark matter because of recent discoveries (roughly 27 minutes in). Meanwhile I'm reading the book Reinventing Gravity by John W. Moffat where he is tring to sell his modified gravity theory as relevant. Ah... nothing like a good controversy.
