I don't think most Americans understand the quality police work they pay for. For example, I think most people would be somewhat surprised to find that the FBI was tracking that dangerous criminal Michael Jackson -- you know, between pop tunes he was probably out selling state secrets to the commies or Al Qaeda or somebody -- so they stayed on top him.
You will be proud to know that they wore off enough shoe leather to compile a 591 page dossier on MJ.
Just think, each page probably represents $3,000 of police work, so MJ ran up a tab of about $180,000 of federal gumshoe effort. All to make America safer.
You have to take your hats off to the FBI... they are ever vigilant, ever guarding Americans from threats like Michael Jackson.
