Bugle Call... The Cavalry to the Rescue!

The news for 24 hours has been about the guys in the white hats, mounted on their chargers, responding to the bugle call, as the cavalry is coming to the rescue of Libya! But...

When I was a kid, the bugle announced an imminent charge by the cavalry. The troops came over the hill within seconds and all were saved.

But the UN blew the bugle and announced the cavalry charge 24 hours ago... and not a sign of the steeds with their earnest cavalry men coming to the rescue. Instead, I find in the BBC News that "the French have -- after 24 hours -- done a 'reconnaisance mission' -- over Libya" and at the same time Gaddafi is bombing the hell out of Bengazi!

From BBC:
French military jets on reconnaissance missions have flown over "all Libyan territory" on Saturday, French military sources say.

Western and Arab leaders have been meeting in Paris to agree a course of action after the UN voted on Thursday for a no-fly zone over Libya.

Pro-Gaddafi forces have attacked the Libyan rebel stronghold of Benghazi, a BBC journalist witnessed.
Nuts to that! If you are going to sound the bugle, then charge. Otherwise cut the crap and stop pretending that you are "coming to the rescue".

This UN mission is about as credible as the Japanese constantly reiterating that they have the Fukushima reactor "under control". I'm tired of official BS. I get enough from the corporate crap smearers with all their "advertising". I don't need more from official governments.

The reality on the ground is that people are dying. Here is an audio feed from Benghazi as the founder of Libya AlHurra Television is killed by the Gaddafi military...

From Al Jazeera:
4:43pm Al Jazeera just received the following email from a member of Libya AlHurra Television, which has been hosting a livestream that Mohammad Nabbous was providing from Benghazi.

I am sorry to inform you that Mohammed Nabbous, the founder of Libya AlHurra TV, was killed this morning while reporting on the attacks from the pro-Gaddafi forces. He touched the hearts of many with his bravery and indomnitable spirit. He will be dearly missed and leaves behind his young wife and unborn child.

[...]

Mo's objective in founding Libya AlHurra was to help his countrymen by getting the word out about what is happening in Libya. Please honor this courageous man and help him realize his dream by using his footage in your broadcasts.
For Mohammad Nabbous, the cavalry never arrived...
