Here's a very good quick video history of the US TEA party movement...



Great review of dates & big names, but an understanding of real history needs to look at what people believe in, what motivates them, and where the money is coming from. The above ignores the puppeteers strings of big money and the political insiders who are behind the scenes "organizing" this supposedly "grass roots" movement. There is a reason why Paul Krugman called the TEA party an "astro turf" movement.
