The Current US Recovery as an Outlier

This graph from a Toronto Dominion bank's economic report shows that the current US recession is a real outlier from the trend of other post-WWII recessions:


This recession had a bigger drop in GDP and has a smaller recovery in GDP than any post-WWII recession. This underlines the fact that Bush and Obama never took this recession seriously enough. It also points out that the Republican obstructionism to stimulus and any plans to assist recovery is purely criminal because it aimed at political gain at the expense of the people in the US. But the propaganda machine of the Republicans has successfully hidden this from most Americans. Tragic!
