The foreclosure situation in the US is a complete mess. Fraud and crime everywhere. Nobody "in charge" has shown up on the scene to direct traffic. Barack "the great hope" Obama hasn't stepped up to the plate and offered any solutions. In the meantime the wheels have come off the banks a second time in two years.
To put it simply... the US officially is a "banana republic" along with all the idiots in fancy uniforms running around like Baghdad Bob claiming to be "in charge" and doing nothing. The ship of state is going down and the idiots in charge are so disorganized they can't even get a band organized to play "Nearer My God to Thee" as the ship plunges under the cold dark waters.
