Here is Lakshman Achuthan of ECRI pointing out that it is now too late for Obama to change the unemployment level during the 2012 elections:
He points out that unemployment is going back up in the short term and if this cyclical slowdown becomes a recession, then above 10% unemployment is likely. That should have caused Obama to put out a "battle stations!" cry back in the spring, but he didn't. He continues to drive in neutral and wonder why he has no acceleration. Obama deserves a D- grade in economics.
